Tax Competition

With no good answers as to how these reforms will come about, just why they should, Dan Mitchell explains the basics of tax competition. Watch it here.

Most voters don’t like low marginal taxes because they don’t like rich people. Progressives like to think of this as an innovation in thought, but most people never liked the rich. They just couldn’t write about it. Rich people wrote, so old books are non-progressive.

Now everyone can write about the evils of the rich and vastly out-write them. I think it’s obvious where these marginal tax rates are going within our democracies. Anyway, like those old books, the video’s still good information for us.
